Exports Administrator & Transport Co-ordinator

We are currently looking for an Export Administrator and Transport Coordinator to join our Export Admin/Sales Support team. This permanent role will be based in Goresbridge and will report directly to the Exports Administration & Process Improvement Lead.

The ideal candidate

At Connolly Red Mills we are looking for an experienced administrator with a proven tracker record in delivering exceptional customer service.  You will be required to act in a professional and helpful manner while delivering results on time, every time. To do so you must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Your main task will be to manage freight efficiently, by air, sea and road, for orders from our highly respected and renowned customers. You will look after shipments from order entry through to arrival at destination. This includes preparation and delivery of the customs clearance paperwork and liaising with the relevant Government Departments. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure is a must.

We require competent candidates who can take ownership of and resolve queries and complaints in a timely manner, with escalation where required only. This will require working well with cross functional teams.

You will work in a continuous process improvement environment and must always endeavour to improve daily tasks and the customers experience from end to end.

Tasks:

  • Order entry right through to delivery and documentation processing and dispatch.
  • Ad hoc queries on customer accounts. Maintain relationships with customers.
  • Ensuring accounts are paid to date and all terms are adhered too.
  • Booking deliveries and collections with relevant transport providers.
  • Ensure that all delivery requests are met for all customers.
  • Liaise and communicate with Customer Services and Sales to identify issues that may affect the agreed delivery time, in order to keep the customer updated.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to ensure that accurate order information is obtained
    before a delivery is scheduled.
  • Maintain trackers and communicate to the wider team as required.
  • Any other ad hoc transport and account related tasks.
  • Liaise with Hauliers and transport companies/freight forwarders to ensure seamless transportation to destination.

Skills & Experience:

  • Microsoft Office knowledge, excel specific
  • Knowledge of SAP desirable but not essential
  • Strong planning skills
  • Good time management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be flexible within the working environment and adapt to change quickly
  • Ability to work in a continuous process improvement environment. Desire to improve daily tasks and the customers experience from end to end.
  • Remain professional and respectful at all times.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Keep focus on the company’s goals and adhere to same
  • Prior knowledge or understanding of global shipping and documentation an advantage, however training will be provided

Education & Qualifications:

  • A qualification or a keen interest in international business and cultures would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of or a qualification in the equine business sector an advantage
  • Strong knowledge in Logistics and transport planning an advantage
  • Understanding of production and dispatch a key advantage
  • Strong customer service experience in a fast paced environment
